I created this post because I am constantly referring and recommending a few local services that I personally use, or my clients use and rate very highly. I take referring you to any business very seriously and everyone on this list I have met personally and know them to be "good people" as well as know their work personally or through trusted clients.


Window & Door Repair

Did you know your windows can be repaired? Most people I meet think the entire window needs to be removed and replaced but more often than not - the window can be removed from the frame and repaired. This means cracks, breaks and even disassembling a 2-pane window, cleaning and re-sealing it so it's like new.

Handyman Services

I only have one recommendation for you because Karen and Todd have a wonderful team who can do just about anything you need done around the house. They also happen to specialize in taking care of things for the elderly and whenever I meet one of their clients they rave and rave about how great they are. Repairs, painting, assembly, construction whatever you can think of check with Porchlight first. If my mom lived in Windsor they are who I would want painting rooms and putting up ceiling fans for her.

Housekeeping Services

You should be picky about who you have working in your home. I trust Dara and Krystle to not only do an exceptional job cleaning your home but also to be worthy of your trust. Leaded Glass & Copper Fabrication

I only know of one fabricator who can repair and make new leaded glass windows and copper eavestroughs. It's a very rare skill and Ryan is 2nd or 3rd generation and is great at what he does.

Electrician & HVAC

Matt and the team over at Almega are competent, professional and reliable. I have used them at my home and many clients rely on them as well. Matt and his team installed a chandelier lift for a client earlier this year to hold a 300lb Waterford crystal chandelier and the client couldn't stop telling me how great they were.

Awning Cleaning

We do not clean awnings the way JP cleans them, his process is thorough and includes a protective coating for the awning. When we clean them they are cleaned as part of a housewash service (being attached to the house) but if the awning is heavily soiled you need to call JP.

Window Tinting

There are lots of window tinting companies in the area but only one that I know of that operate at as high a level of proficiency and professionalism as WWI. They're a 3M dealer and won't let you down.
