High-Access Dusting in Windsor, ON
Modern homes in Windsor-Essex — open-concept builds with 20-foot foyers, exposed beam ceilings, grand staircases, and feature lighting — accumulate dust and grime in places that are simply unreachable without the right equipment. Most cleaning companies don't have it. Richardson Clean does.
We use professional carbon fibre extension poles, HEPA-filtered vacuum systems, and where the height requires it, our indoor JLG mini manlifts — compact aerial work platforms that operate safely on hardwood, tile, and polished concrete without marking.
If it's high up and it needs cleaning, we can reach it.

What's Included
What We Dust & Clean
High-access dusting covers exposed ceiling beams, architectural ledges and soffits, pot lights and recessed fixtures, ceiling fans at any height, HVAC vents and returns, tall interior windows and transoms, crown moulding in double-height spaces, grand staircase railings and balusters, and any other elevated surface that accumulates dust and is out of normal reach.
Equipment
For most high-access work we use professional carbon fibre extension poles with microfibre and specialty heads, combined with HEPA-filtered vacuum extraction to capture dust rather than redistribute it. For spaces that require a stable working platform — foyers over 14 feet, vaulted great rooms, commercial lobbies — we deploy our JLG FT70 or JLG 140 indoor mini manlifts. These are the same machines we use for chandelier cleaning, and they're what makes the difference between reaching a surface properly and doing a partial job from a ladder.
Residential High Dusting
For homes, high-access dusting is typically combined with a window clean or chandelier service as part of a full interior refresh. Custom builds with dramatic ceiling heights, heritage homes with original detailed moulding, and waterfront properties with open-concept floor plans are the most common candidates. If your home has spaces that haven't been properly cleaned since you moved in, this is the service.
Commercial High Dusting
For commercial properties — restaurants, hotel lobbies, offices, event venues — high-access dusting addresses the dust and grease accumulation on ceiling fixtures, HVAC returns, exposed ductwork, and overhead surfaces that health inspectors and clients both notice. We work efficiently within your operating environment and can schedule outside business hours where needed.
Fully Insured, Owner on Every Job
All high-access work is covered under Richardson Clean's $2 million commercial liability policy. Kris attends every job personally. Aerial work platform operation is certified. You're not getting a day-rate employee with a borrowed ladder — you're getting a specialist with the right equipment and the training to use it safely.
High-Access Dusting FAQ
How often should high-access dusting be done?
Every one to two years for most homes. Exposed-beam ceilings, homes near busy roads, and commercial spaces collect dust faster and may want it more often.
Is this the same as duct cleaning?
No. We dust the vents, returns, and exposed ductwork you can see, along with beams, ledges, and fixtures — not the inside of your HVAC system.
Will I need to move furniture or cover anything?
We drape and protect the area below where we're working, so there's no prep required on your end. You're welcome to move small valuables if you'd prefer, but we handle the rest.
Can it be combined with a window or chandelier clean in the same visit?
Yes — most clients bundle high dusting into a full interior refresh, which saves the cost and hassle of a separate trip.
Do you do this for restaurants and commercial spaces?
Yes. Overhead grease and dust on fixtures, vents, and exposed ductwork is exactly the kind of thing inspectors and customers notice, and we can schedule it outside your operating hours.
